I'm a little behind posting this, but better late then never! Last weekend my parents celebrated their 40th anniversary. We've never celebrated their anniversary as a family so we (the kids) didn't even realize it had been 40 years until about a week or so before the big day. 40 years! Wow. Seriously that's a long time. We decided that they needed a party. My brother that lives in Arizona even flew out for it.
We had it at my house.... apparently its easier to decorate a small house then a big house. See, little houses are good for something. We lovingly call our house a doll house. Anyways, we hung lights and tissue flowers, a little table area in the the living room, and had the grand-kids do a banner.

Mom and Dad were so surprised to not only have a party, but to see Chad too! To get them to my house I just said I made them something and asked if they could come by to pick it up. They were just expecting to come by to pick up a cake. There were tears from both of them. It was very exciting to celebrate this occasion with them. They have been great examples to us in marriage and many other things over the years, and I'm very glad that even as an adult, I still have 2 parents who love each other.
Of course there was food and cheesecake!

Wow! Congrats to your parents! The women in your family look A LOT alike...and the men look like each other, too! I love that you take pictures of food, too!
